Hey dolls, Happy 2018!!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is looking forward to a great year. If you couldn't tell, I took the holidays off from posting on the Blog, (but I was super active on Instagram, so I hope you're following along there.

It was actually wonderful and so refreshing to take a small break from social media and just relax with family and friends. We travelled to New York City for Christmas and my daughter loved meeting her cousin as well as seeing the huge tree in Rockefellar Center. Now that we're a full week into 2018, I thought I'd share some of my goals with you. (I don't do resolutions)

1. Be more intentional with my time - as a stay at home mom, I have so much going on that the days just fly by. There are so many times when I'll want to work on the blog and I get distracted by cleaning up toys, doing laundry, etc. This year I really want to set aside dedicated time to work on the Blog {and some other pursuits}, instead of just fitting it in when I can.

2. Take better care of myself - Before I had my daughter, I juiced almost every day and exercised 5 days/week. Since being a mom, I'm more sporadic with fitness - I'll go through periods where I'm super active and then I'll stop working out for 1-2 months at a time. Working out has SO  many benefits - mental and physical and I really want to get back to my almost-daily workouts. My favorites are running & yoga, but I'm thinking about trying the #bbg program that's so popular on Instagram. I'd love to hear from y'all what workouts you like best!

3. Give back to others more - One thing that I dislike about the world of fashion/beauty blogging is that it's so consumer-focused. While it's great to be able to spend time shopping and trying out the latest trends and products (that's why you follow me, I know), there's more to life than new handbags and make-up. The thing I miss most about working as a nurse is helping others. Even though I'm not ready to go back to work full time, I want to find ways to make a difference in our community. I'm hoping to volunteer someplace once a week and set a positive example for my daughter.

What are your New Years plans/resolutions? I'd love to hear from you about what you're planning to do differently in 2018.
